Microsoft 365 소개

오랫만에 아주 따끈한 소식입니다.

지난 주 미국 워싱턴 D.C에서 'Microsoft Inspire 2017' 행사(7/9 ~ 7/13)가 있었습니다. Microsoft Inspire 행사는 Microsoft Partner들을 모아놓고 신제품발표나 비전 등을 공유하는 행사입니다.

저는 7/10일  Satya Nadella가 발표한 Microsoft 365에 대해 소개하고자 합니다.

Microsoft 365는 전혀 새로운 제품은 아니고 기존 Office 365, Windows 10 및 Enterprise Mobility + Security를 통합한 솔루션입니다. Office팀의 부사장인 Kirk Koenigsbauer의 기고문을 보면 기업 규모(Microsoft Business에서 보면 사용자 300명 기준으로 정의)에 따라 Enterprise 버전과 Business 버전 두가지로 나눠 제공될 Microsoft 365는 Business 버전은 2017년 8월 2일 공개 미리보기가 제공되고 가을에 전세계 적으로 GA(General availability) 예정이고 Enterprise 버전은 2017년 8월 1일에 곧바로 사용할 수 있다고 합니다.

아래 표는 Microsoft 365와 Office 365 서비스의 라이선스 E3, E5 비교입니다. 표에서 Microsoft 365는 Office 365와 비교하여 위협이나 정보에 대한 보호가 강화되었고 Mobile을 포함한 Device와 App 관리, Azure AD plan이 기본으로 추가되었음을 알 수 있습니다. 그리고 라이선스에 Windows 10이 포함되어 기존 windows 7, windows 8.1 pro를 windows 10으로 업그레이드 할 수 있습니다. 이제 Microsoft 365만 구독하면 PC OS와 Office부터 보안과 편리한 협업 공간까지 거의 모든 업무환경을 한 번에 구축할 수 있게 되었습니다.
